  • Jardine Pipes

    I have a new set of 4 into 2 slip on pipes (No header pipes) that I bought a while back and cannot use because I don't have the header pipes. I am asking $200 + shipping or best offer. I wanted to post here first before putting on ebay. PM me if interested. I took them out of the plastic to photograph.

          I don't know if it's just me, but the Jardine 4 into 2 that I have has a different mount that's like 12 inches from the rear of the mufflers. Where does the instructions say to mount the hanger shown in the pics. It appears to be a little too far forward and it's completely differant than the one on my mufflers. Does the paperwork referance any part number or mention as to the fitment to the bike???
          I was interested in them until I noticed the complete differance in the mounting hanger.
          Just want to be sure they fit what there're suppose to fit.
          (Note the hanger above the rear footpeg that's way toward the rear of the muffler)
          OR am I just missing something like these are for the STOCK headers pipes???
          Inquiring minds want and need to know...

            Those look exactly like th eones I now have on Banshee. They do slip right over the existing header pipe once you cut the old muffler off. They also bolt up about where those bolt up. They seem to fit like they are for a standard though, there was no way I could get that flange pulled up to mount to the foot peg bracket on my special. I made an "adaptor" bracket. Only difference it mine do not have the crossover. Mine we sold as being Kerker, and have a Kerker emblem seen in the picture on that one muffler, but truthfully it is a sticker and I do not recall Kerker ever making a 4-2, so I doubt it is really a Kerker system.

              Tom: If I read correctly you're considering these muffs for you bike. I noticed in the picture that your Jardines require mufflers with double inlets.
              Those offered wouldn't work on your headers.

              Jardine sold both set-ups, where some had 2 inlet mufflers, & some the headers converged to single outlets b4 the muffs. Just thought I'd mention it.

                Also a longer muffler

                Tom;
                It's also a much longer muffler than yours; makes the mounts look different.

                  I have a similar set of the Jardine slip-ons with the crossover and all the hardware still new in the box. Typed lettering on the box shows them to be for 78-80 Standard XS 1100. IIRC, the hanger brackets on them are a bit rearward from where those are located in the pics. Thought I was gonna be forced to use them on my Venturer some three yrs. ago as my left muffler started developing pin-holes in the underside of the outer shell. With my wire-feed I was able to sew them up as they showed, but knew it was amatter of time it was gonna have to be replaced. Accidently came across a brand new, never been on a bike left side complete OEM exhaust with attached heat shields and the chrome clamps. I say accidently as they were in a section where these things normally don't appear......and a buy it now for $95. Called their toll free number to confirm correct numbers and they now reside on the Venturer. At this point, was just hangin' on to them, but if someone really needed a new set of quality muffs, would entertain letting them go. These or the ones Foreda have would fit on any of the XS's still being able to use the stock head-pipe section. The only mod I can see is having to add a small off-set bracket for the muff hanger, which i already know several have done using these muffs. The muff hanger bracket is what seems to make them model specific. In answer to your question Tom, yes they are a slip-on for the stock collector pipe.

                    Yeah,
                    I noticed that after I posted, I only have room for one foot at a time in my mouth. By then I'd sorta figured they were for the stock header pipes. Thanks for the affirmation of what I had thought....
