See, all the good stuff comes up when I gots no money. I just had to spend the next 2 months bike parts allowance on new glasses or I'd be making you an offer on that seat. I won't however wish for you not to find a buyer for it, as that would just be wrong .

You know you are REQUIRED to post pictures of your project as it actually begins to take shape you know? Whether we agree with your direction or not, we STILL want to see the build taking place cause a good looking hardtail still looks good even if we wouldn't ride it ourselves .

As for the build. I'm going to post pics. I won't forget. Maybe with some of this money I can fix my laptop and put 'em up

Im not sure what the standard length is, they were on the bike when I got it ... but if I remember correctly, from eye to eye I believe they are 12.5".

                    Seat

Jay, I'm interested in the seat.
The one on my 80G is torn all to h#ll.
If it was on your 80G then it'll fit mine.
Shoot me a PM with what you think is a fair price and I'll have to check with the wife

ps. I may be able to swing by and pick it up locally. We're planning a trip up that way in about 3 1/2 weeks.
I can live without a new seat for that long, I've gone almost a year now on this POS.

I'll take $90 for the seat. All the sites I've seen them on run 200+ brand new.

I don't think you can even get the entire seat brand new. You can get the foam and cover from saddlemen for like about 129 or so, but you must have your own seat pan and then have to put their foam and cover on your seat pan yourself. So I'd say assuming that seats in good shape (and I've seen no reason to say it's not) that $90 is a good deal.

BTW glowva, if you get this seat and are happy with it, I might be interested in your torn up seat, I just need a beat up stock seat I can put a cheap cover on as a temp seat for when I take my custom seat in to get it redone. Since my bike is my primary transportation, I can't just take my seat in and do without while it's in getting redone, I figure it will take a month or so to have it done right. But I figure it will be worth it, it's good for a couple hundred miles now easy, I want to double that, and with the right foam and the same basic shape I think I can get there. Problem is, while I can do the front part of the recovering job on my seat pretty well (it look pretty good actually) I SUCK at doing the back, it looks like a bad diaper job . It's functional, but I can't say much else for it. I DID get a nice tough proper vinyl for the job this time, last time I used the wrong stuff and it didn't last.

Whomever gets me the money first. Not gonna save it for anyone -- it is in good condition though. It's a little faded, that's all. And if it is the foam and cover whomever did it did a good job.

Just the rubber part and the spring?? I'm wanting $80 (shipping included) for the springs, I wont charge you for the simple rubber part and clamp, it weighs nothing and wont affect anything. For brand new ones similar to the ones I have they go for 120-160 and up from there.
