    just like the title says... the tank dont have to look very pretty i can fix that. as long as it is sealed and there isnt much rust inside and also had a key to the gas lid.

    I did this also, took awhile for me to find someone to do it with though. As to the key thing, you can just swap out the lock so that you can keep your key and they can keep theirs.

      K didnt know u can just switch the tumblers

        Not even just the tumblers (but that is possible too) the whole lock portion.

          The lock portion of the cap is the same on both models (actually I think it's the same on all the XS models but don't quote me on that, I know my XS400 uses the same lock assy as my 11 does though) and can be swapped from one to the other without any real problem at all. It really just pops right out with the removal of a couple of screws.
