  • WTB xs1100 engine

    I figured it might be easier to replace then engine than deal with a teribble compression issue I have in #4 (20#).
    Sure, it could just be a hole in a piston, but that'll be a PITA to fix/replace, so, why not see if anyone out there has a spare engine lying around that needs a good home.
    I'm in eastern VA, but am willing to drive to at least the next state to come get it. (in other words, If I can get there in 5-6hrs, I'll do it)
    If I'm not mistaken, just about any engine 78-81 would fit.
    All I really need is just the meat of the engine. My head, stator, etc. and transmission all work great.
    I've looked on Ebay, but shipping is gonna kill me.

    I may be able to hook you up. I'm heading out to DC in October, and have an engine in my parts bike ('78) I likely won't use any time soon (*knocking on wood*). I'd have to do some tests to make sure it's good to go, but we might be able to come to an agreement.
