Vetter Fairings full set with mounts

Actually the only part of that setup that's Vetter is the fairing and mount. Not sure who made the rest, might have been anybody, but only the fairing was made by Vetter.
Looks like it's lowers, side covers and everything from and 80H though, although I could be wrong. It is for sure side covers and everything from a standard though, looks like maybe even the taillight and rear turn signals are included in the package, which might be a good deal for someone looking.Cy

I got those same bags. obtained from a member here. There are no tags on the inside. I know they are not the original from the 79f as I still have those bags and they did not have the hinged lids. Which is why they were lost on the highway by the PO. I'm curious who made these bags though.1979 XS 1100F

That set up looks Yamaha Factory to me. Looks exactly like my 81H except for the colour ofcourse.
I believe they were offered as over the counter add on in 1980.

I believe they went to the hinged bags during 1980 production. I'm pretty sure those are the correct bags and everything for the 1981 Standard aka Venturer.
All 1981 Standards are considered Venturers and came with the Vetter knockoff fairing that has a square headlight, lowers, hinged side bags with heat shield on the bottom, rear crash guards and rail, sun shield on the gauges, rear rack, and best of all the bigger 6.3 gallon tank. Some came with a trunk but most did not due to the trunk production being unable to keep up.
I would like to get my hands on an all original Venturer. Nice classic tourer.

Nice classic tourer///////that they are......and STILL is after thirty years.......BTW, that's all 81 Venturer tour-pac. 80 side cases opened end-ways. that pic is exactly how mine came when I bought it new(with the tall tapered back-rest with the zipper softcase on back). Added the yammy accessory tail-trunk and the curved lower recessed adjustable backrest. Still have the original seat(in closet), the instrument dash cover along with the original backrest. Had to remove instrument cover with the stereo installed, and have left that installed as it gives added support for the fairing top frontal area. Have seen many of the fairings develop a break center lower portion on back-side of where windshield mounts. Too much flexing goes on for these aging fairings and the stereo housing adds support on ends where it's attached to top windshield mount bolt.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

The bags and trunk were NOT from Vetter however, just the fairing and fairing mount were Vetter products that had been rebranded with the Yamaha name, must like the earlier Pacifico made fairing with the Yamaha name on it.
The Vetter fairing used on the Venturer did indeed debute for the 1980 model year, but didn't automatically come with lowers, you had to get them extra, but it used/uses the same lowers as the Windjammer IV and earlier I believe (I think it has the curved bottom like the IV and earlier, not the straight bottom like the Windjammer V does). Nevermind, I can see in the picture that the bottom is curved, so yes, it uses the same lowers as a Windjammer IV or earlier (all Windjammers except the V use the same lowers for a give bike).Cy

The guy is till making fairings today for some of the current naked bikes, I forget the name of the company off the top of my head, but if some one wanted to know it's in a thread on here somewhere that I posted to or I can try to dig up the emails out of my emails (it's been a while though).
