  • 1978 carb bodys

I was going to clean a set of carbs I got off of a parts bike but #2 main jet stripped so I am going to sell each carb body for $30.00. This is for just the body, butterfly and choke plunger, everything else will have to be switched.

I will ship in USPS flat rate box.. I will find out monday what that would cost.

If the main jet is the issue, I would try grapping it with a set of vice grips and turning it if the slot stripped out.

You may not want to mess with it, but in the past, I have sprayed the loving crap out of those with PB Blaster, a few shots over several hours to let it penetrate good. Thne take a small screw extractor to it. The hole in the jet is the perfect size for the extractor and they tend to pop right out. Worst case is you break the extractor off and your right where you are now, although I recommend to use the extractor lightly and not torque it enough to snap it. They are very hard steel which makes it very brittle steel.
