78 std. tank navy blue factory paint. no cap or petcocks good and straight, paint looks decent, had old gas in it when i removed it from bike that had been sitting around 2 years in a carport. i drained it and put it in my basement for another year. sure it needs cleaned out. just make me offer.

Hi, ref your tank for sale, can I just check that it has no rust (particularly on the underneath and the seams) and that it holds petrol without leaking? Also, if the answer is yes to the questions above, how much did you have in mind for it? -
all i know about it is it had petrol in it when i got it on a 78 bike. the bike came with no key so i took petcocks off to drain a gallon of petrol. petcocks were frozen. was told the bike sat for 2 years til i got it. i havent put any fuel back in to check. but i can check it if needed. look at 1st picture at arrows. 2 small russt spots there is all i see. and the inside has rust. thats why it is cheap.
