Yeah, very unusual. The bottom loops down really low for some reason. The bolt holes match so here's hoping. It a bit of a pig in a bag I know but for $40 I don't mind the risk and if they do fit, they'll look amazing all chromed up

            Good idea

Seems they were designed with that in mind.

              They look great!

I've fitted one to get an idea of how they will look once I've re chromed them. As soon as I do that, I'll post more pics.

Just for reference, how much did it cost to have them rechromed? And did you do the rust pit removal, or did the chrome shop do it all?
Those were pretty kgnarley to start with.
Do you have such a thing as EPA down there?
                    Thanks, CZ

$295 for the lot. Astor Metal Finishes did the job. They did everything. I've used them before on an exhaust system. They take care of all environmental issues.

                        They're on...

I took a few pics because I can't describe them adequately with words. I think they look sensational but I would after unloading $300 on them.

Bike needed a wash but it was raining. I'm sure you get the idea though.

Thanks Nate, I think they must have been custom built some time in the dim, dark past. I've never seen anything like them.

Aren't glad now that you didn't buy mine?

Those things are awesome. They can almost be used as cruising footrests.

btw - I still have one set of mine left BUMP, BUMP AGAIN.

I'm selling a couple of case guard sets I took off my bikes.
One of them was billed as being stainless steel but it is not of the marine grade ss. Both are straight and will fit any of our XSs, even the XJ. They do have a little bit of surface rust which will polish out easily enough.
I'll let them go for $20 each, plus shipping. They'll probably fit in those 'if it fits, it ships' USPS boxes, so you're looking at about $15 shipping.
Here's what one of them looks like:

Here's what the ss set looks like:

I've since gone to three point sets. They are very hard to find, I looked for over two years on ebay to find a set. Now I have them on both my bikes.
                                Thanks
The sets you show in pic make next to impossible to get feet on road pegs IF and when the lowers are on the Vetter fairing.......JAT to keep in mind.
