    Time to sell off some quality spare parts ~ lots of them !

    Since my 80 Special bike project is finished now, I am going through the shop and gathering up spare parts I do not need. ( I need the extra space back again )

    For those of you who do not know me yet, I own a marine, atv and motorcycle service and sales business for over 27 years.

    I am also a dealer/distributor for most major aftermarket parts suppliers in Canada for marine, atv and motorcycles.


    As far as my spare XS parts go ..

    I do not want to use or have the time to do ebay, so you ( the XS brotherhood) can have first dibs on them.

    I will try to add something everyday here if my time permits, but check back as I will be adding parts for sale on a regular basis.

    I will not post crap or useless parts for sale, and yes I checked everything over when I was building my bike.

    If there are defects in anything I offer for sale, I will describe it to the best of my abilities to make sure you know exactly what you are getting.


    Shipping

    If you want parts shipped, I will ship them Canada Post to both Canada and the lower 48 and anywhere in the world ..

    I do this everyday for my business and the mail is the cheaper, safer way to get stuff delivered.. I will not ship UPS or Fedex, as they both owe me a lot of money from their thieving staff picking off my merchandise for free for their own use...

    I will charge you exactly what it costs me to ship them, not a penny more..

    For Canada you have 2 options..

    Expedited Parcel or Express Post.. both offer tracking service and insurance coverage up to $ 100 value for no extra charge. If you want to insure them for full value over $ 100, then the extra insurance charge will be on your cost.


    For USA

    Expedited and Express Post USA

    Same deal as Canada, insurance up to $ 100 is free, anything over that is chargeable.

    For anywhere else in the world

    BY quote only .. there are a few options ( air, land, sea ) for oversea's delivery.. I can accommodate them all

    If you are in Ontario and want to pick them up, I have no issues with that at all .. I am located about 40 miles north of Toronto.

    As far as payment goes,

    Paypal, email bank transfer, money orders, cash .. I do not take CC, sorry..


    Also ..

    I am a busy in the shop each and every day, so do not panic if it takes me a couple hours to get back to a email or pm reply.

    I do my shipping first thing every morning, so I will ship your goodies the following business morning after purchase, and will send you tracking info promptly.

    Today's offerings - July 13

    1 - pair of real nice sidecovers for a 79 XS - SF special.

    Black - original 1979 paint, original emblems, no damage, lock tab is intact.

    These covers are in real nice shape for all original.

    There are a few minor wear, scuffs on the paint from usage over the years, but could be easily buffed out with a polisher.

    The emblems are near perfect, with all the gold 99.9 % intact and shiny.

    $ 75 USD plus shipping for both of them ..

    And no .. I do not want to sell them separately !! They go as a pair, cause they are a matched pair of the same bike.

    Next up

    1 - Pair front forks for a XS Standard.

    I did not take these apart, but they have been here 3 years and do not leak.

    I stood them upside down for a year, and no fluid ran down the tubes over the year.

    The nice part about these ones is the upper tubes are in mint shape with no pitting on them in the travel area, and the rest of upper tube area is near mint with a couple of minor pits between the tree clamp area's .. but you have to look real hard to see them .. they are almost in perfect shape.

    The lower's have the usual oxidized patina on them, but you can remove the clear coat and buff them up ..

    The dust boots are also in nice shape, no rips or tears..

    If they would have been for a Special, they be on my bike right now, but since they are not for a Special, they have to go.

    If I ship them, the oil gets drained out before I pack them .. so remember to put oil back in them before use ..

    $ 65 USD for the pair plus shipping.

    Handlebars

    3 sets of "Special" bars ..

    All straight, no dents or bends ..

    are brand new in the bag Yamaha Part # 3H3-26111-00

    Never used, never opened .. they are new from Yamaha.

    2nd set ( in the 2nd bag ) are real nice, re-chromed using a marine quality plating process.

    One of the parts bikes I bought was from a fellow antique boat builder who sent out a whack of his parts for re-chroming, he never finished the bike, and I got it all from him .. I used the fenders, etc from his bike for my project .. but the bars are still in the bag from the re-chromers, and are shiny, shiny, shiny ..

    Used, but in real good shape, no bends or dents .. A little cleaning would go a long way on these ..

          Front Brake Line ( M/Cyl to Tee )

          This is a brand new in bag Yamaha brake line ( 2G2-25872-01 )

          Fits all XS 1100's .. and some XS 650's too ..

          This is the line from the master cyl to the union tee.

          I don't need it, as I put SS aftermarket lines on my bike.

          $ 30 USD plus shipping

          Lowest price I found from a Yamaha dealer was $ 47.30 today, so you save some money on a brand new Yamaha genuine part.

              Who needs a good frame ?

              79 Standard Frame

              complete with swingarm, centerstand, sidestand, triple trees and the Ontario non-branded, non salvage ownership ..

              This is from a parts bike which had a small carb fire thanks to the P.O.

              As you can see some fire extinguisher powder still is on it.

              Usually scratches and wear areas, but the frame metal is sound, there is no weak spots or rusted out area's .. it is solid as a rock ..

              Sandblast it, paint or powder coat it, and you got a good start on a resto bike ..

              $ 50 USD takes it all .. and yes I have all the paperwork so it can be put on the road again with no hassles ..

              I do not want to ship this, so this is Pick up only please ..

                              Brake calibers

                              I'm looking for all 3 brake calibers. I think the xs is a match to my xj. I'll either bring one of the existing or ride down from Coldwater. Starting to tinker with restoring my other XJ 1000. Original owner has cross treaded and or forced imperial bolts into the units. Rather replace the units then use helex coils or retap and size up. Should be able to get to Alliston this week. So I can mapquest what's the address of your shop. Bet it would be a good idea to bring a saddle bag of $ and see what else you have.
                              Enjoyed riding with you at the rally. I rode the maroon xj with the customed windshield.
