I sold five today, and I sold two engines. There are about four or five parts bikes left. I will have to take some more pictures. I also sold the custom motor on the stand that runs. Thanks for everyone's interest! They are going faster than I expected. There are a lot of parts, but I'm not sure what they fit. I am thinking of taking the Street Sleeper bike to a museum in Iowa. Has anyone ever been to the National Motorcyle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa?

That's awesome Karla! So glad things are going well!

Several of us took a trip to that museum and I think an addition of Bob's bike would be MOST welcome. It definitely needed some representation from the XS group...

Glad to hear things are going well, only wish I was closer so I could pick up a few parts bikes too
If you've got parts and you don't know what they're for, post (or e-mail me and I'll post) the pictures, there is enough general bike knowledge here that someone will probably be able to ID them.

The Street Sleeper is the bike I've always wanted but knew it was out of my league. If it goes into a museum it will be preserved for a very long time...seems a shame though as that was built to run...Best of luck with it

                2. 80 Standard with engine. Missing starter, tank and seat, does have ignition with key.
                3. 78 standard with engine, headers, engine guard. No seat or tank
                4. 78 standard with engine. has headers. No seat, no tank, no handlebars.
                5. I don't know what year..has engine in it. no handle bars.
                6. 78 standard no motor, seat tank or pipes. Has got front and rear fenders, rear turnsignals and taillight complete, handlebars are good and instruments are good.
                7. 79 may be a Special? Good engine, rusty header & pipes; but they are there.

The bikes have all been sold

Thanks for all the interest. The engines and the bikes are sold. There are still plenty of parts, lots of engine parts, wheels, tanks, fenders, etc. Too many to list. I will still open the garage for anyone who wants to take a look. But don't wait too long. You can also watch for the stuff on ebay under Merriamxs.

                    Hello Karla,
I need a right side cover for a 78 or 79 xs 11 standard. They were maroon on the 78 and dark blue on the 79. The ones with the rectangle mount slits. Color doesn't matter, I'm going to get new paint. As long as it's not cracked or broken.......Do you have one, PM me and I'll grab it.
                    Thanks, Garrett

                      80 side covers

I am looking for a pair for an 80 model with the round slots. Some cracking or missing emblem is ok as I will fix and repaint. Even a broken latch on left is ok - i can rebuild it.

PM me with price shipped to 78250 and how you would like the money (PayPal, money order)

                      thanks
                      john

PS glad u got the bikes sold so fast but I had just convinced my wife I needed to drive up from San Antonio to get one but I was too slow.

                        Where are these bikes located?
Some people go to Vegas to gamble, $50 bucks on a bike sounds like at least as good a deal. CZ
