    Progressive shocks

I am selling a set of 418 Progressive 12" shocks they have a 230/270 spring rating .I have only had these shocks on my bike for a short test run they were new when I bought them.
I purchased these hoping to find lighter springs but found another set of shocks that's the reason for selling. These shocks were for another bike so I have taken the bushings out of a set of stock XS shocks and installed them in these shocks using copper shims . $120.00 plus shipping

This small nick on the inside of the shock is my own doing when I installed the shock on my bike.

how did they ride? Were they too stiff, is that the reason for the "lighter spring" comment? I'm interested because the ones from Mikesxs just don't do it, they are much better then what I removed but no where near stiff enough for the occasional 2 up ride.

Yes they were too stiff for me .I don't ride two up often but other than a hard bump they were fine. I also decided to go with a shorter shock also.

See they have the "clicker" for dampening adj. Would I presume correctly that they dampen on both compression and re-bound?

Those are some very heavy springs...progressive lists their heavy duty spring set for the XS1100 at a 120/170 spring rate... 230/275 would be way out of that range.

                    Hey John

I am just using the Canada online shipping quote for this one.I am not sure about the weight but I used a 12lb (might be on the high side) as a guess and the cheapest price is about $27.00 8 to 9 business days and the high end would be around $43.00 4 to 6 business days . Sorry I haven't packaged the shocks yet and this is just a guess on the weight and size of box . You must be in the middle of nowhere they added a fuel charge for your zip . If you want it insured add a $2.00 . I will only charge actual shipping charges .
