  • 79 XS11S parts in excellent condition

All parts removed from this bike are for sale, and in excellent condition. If you are looking for a specific part send me an e-mail and I will send you 'good' pictures, description of any blemishes and price. Also I have Mikuni carbs, rebuilt and not, parts, rebuild kits and complete systems. Some CV, and other styles. I specialize in performance tuning VM carbs. If you are looking for a more powerful and economical cruiser or a tire melting drag bike I can custom tailor a set of carbs (or a single carb) for you. Intake manifold fabrication and/or modification, also. You can contact me at derrick_kaiser@yahoo.com

Hey Blueiguana86, I dont know what your budget is like but you might want to consider an aftermarket set. Search the forum for "Green Coils", many people consider them the best you can get. After all, these stock coils are nearly 30 (some more) years old.

          side covers

I still have the side covers, but not the emblems for them. When I bought the bike last year they were not there. They are fully prepped for paint (sanded & black primer), and in excellent condition (no cracks, not even around the mounting slots up top.) I'm going to go ahead and say make an offer for these parts, and that goes for any parts I have left. I try to price competitively by researching all parts first, but I'm not going to use them. I love my XS, and Want everyone to be able to love theirs that little bit more. So, make an offer, I'll ship USPS Flat Rate (or UPS, whichever is cheaper) and add that to the price. I'll list on my main post what parts I have left. Thanks, Derrick.

***make offer on these excellent condition OEM parts***

Due to pricing variances listed all over the internet I am asking you to make an offer on the parts I have left that are for sale. I will supply pics of all parts upon request, and they are in excellent condition. (You factory model fans would kill me if you saw this bike before bobbed and 'blacked' it out.) Make a reasonable offer, I'll find the cheapest shipping (USPS Flat Rate usually), or you can if you are so inclined. Items will be shipped from area code 74074, Stillwater, OK, if you are close enough, or like to ride.

In recap: your offer price + shipping.

            ***remaining parts:***

mufflers with or w/o chrome exhaust bezels (bolt over welded area between muffler and header)

rear light assembly (or will part out turn signals, brake/tail light, etc)

fenders both rear plastic and steel ( set or separate)

            handlebars (factory chrome cruiser style)

            clutch

            head

cylinders w/ pistons (or pistons/rings and cylinders seperate)

last 3 listed are from same year/model XS11SF in exc. cond. I bought them from a guy who beefed up his 11 motor for race)

            key cylinder switch

gauges (29,341.5 miles on speedo, gauge mounts w/ rubber boots )

            handlebar switches (both)

wiring harness (fuse block was replaced with 4 separate weatherproof fuse holder. I checked continuity and it was done correct. easy to change back to factory if you so wish)

king/queen seat ( high-back style, one piece, approx. 30"x30"x15" @10 lbs for shipping purposes)

            speedometer cable

            sissie bar

side covers both (do not have emblems)

What does "VM" stand for about the carbs? You willing to give some tuning hints for the stock Mikunis?

Also, is the exhaust a stock model?
                Ich habe dich nicht gefragt.

Stock mufflers and too much two cents

                  Ivan,
I researched, but could not find what "VM" stands for. As a farm mechanic first, then, an auto mechanic, when I hear "CV" I think independent suspension. But my guess "V" is still Velocity. With how the VM carbs work I say velocity means metered. On the CV carb you have full atomization of fuel no matter where in the throttle range. VM's are more 'primitive.' They still get the job done. Many applications use VM instead of CV. (And yes a lot of that is the convenience of the VM over about any other.) Anyways, back to your questions, I am more than happy to advise anyone who wants to know what I have to offer about carbs. I am an enthusiast like most of you. I have a lot of knowledge of Mikuni carbs to share, but I would first advise anyone to be apprehensive of anyone's claims. That is how I learned the most about motorcycle carbs in the first place. But, if you would like to know anything I have to offer, then ask. I will offer my honest answer, and I would hope you would double check me. I would anyone else.

Mufflers are OEM, and in excellent condition. I cut them off before the weld so they can be re-used.

Stellen Sie zweimal. Es ist in Ordnung.
