  • Touring Parts for '80 Standard (for sale)

When I bought my 1980 XS1100 (Standard), the PO had it fully decked out in touring gear. For the past few months I've been converting back to stock (as close as I can, anyway), and ended up with a bunch of parts I now don't need. So, see if there's anything YOU need.

    Prices don't include shipping.

    - Fuel Tank. Dark silver w/ yellow pinstripes. Couple small scratches and a bit of rust inside, but overall very solid. $100.

    - King/Queen double bucket seat. EXCELLENT condition (recently re-covered). Missing hardware, but it's identical to the stock seat, so you can just transfer it over. $100.

    - Luggage Trunk. Black w/ yellow pinstripes. Rack NOT included. $60.

    - Yamaha (I think) Fairing . Mounting bracket and hardware included. No headlight, but a stock rectangular Standard headlight is a bolt-on fit. $175.

NOTES: Everything can be shipped EXCEPT for the fairing. Because of size, this is pickup-only. If you REALLY want it and need it shipped, you can come up with a way to do it. All prices are negotiable. Because these came from a Standard, I have no idea what would fit on a Special, if anything. Photos available upon request. PM me if your interested in anything.
    Currently XS-less.

Does the seat have the pan, but missing the brackets? Or just foam?
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

The seat has the pan, foam, and a VERY nice cover (very nearly new). The only thing missing is the two bolts (plus hardware) at the back that attach the seat to the frame. These are identical to the hardware on a normal seat, so all you need to do is transfer them over. VERY simple.

I can get pics, if you're interested.

I would be very interested in the seat if you still have it and it isn't spoken for.

Alright. As of right now the tank is spoken for, the fairing is possibly spoken for, and (depending on what adrabek thinks) the seat might be spoken for, too. (First come, first served and all that). I"ll be sure to let you know what I've got left.

                        G trunk?

Do you know if this trunk will fit a G? I'm brand new here, but it seems it should. Where do you live? I'd like to get a stock trunk, but don't want to get killed on shipping. Thanks.

The biggest issue with the trunk is that it doesn't bolt directly to the bike- it bolts to a luggage rack that I no longer have. It looks like this:

Just to be clear I DO NOT HAVE THIS PART ANYMORE AND IS NOT PART OF THE TRUNK. However, the back of this rack is what the trunk bolts to. A halfway-decent photo of this assembly (along with the actual trunk) can be seen here:

If you don't have one of these, you will need to get one to use the trunk. Unless, of course, you want to fabricate a custom frame for it, in which case fit doesn't matter as much.

That said, if you can find the rack for the G model, the trunk will fit fine. The bike it came off of is a G, in fact.

                          Any questions?

Okay, 'nuther update. As of right now, the fairing has been spoken for. That leaves just the luggage trunk.

The seat kinda has a line for it already, so the best you can do with THAT is put your name down and hope you get lucky.

                            As always, thanks for looking.

                              travelin' trunk

                              Lucien,
It so happens I do have the backrest/rack you spoke of-in decent shape too.
Any pics of the trunk? I'm guessing the shipping will be 1/2 the cost of the trunk, so I'd like to see it. Thanks.
