79 XS1100 Special MNS? black OEM Exhaust for sale or trade

I have a black Chrome decent shape OEM exhaust from my 79 XS1100 Special for sale. Its in pretty good shape with no rust throughs and it sounded nice and rumbly when it was on my bike. Did they have a MNS for that year? I now have a MAC 4-1 modified header on my bike as you can see from my signature, I think it sounds like the Ace of Bass. Anyway, I can provide pics to your email address if interested. How much will you give for it including shipping of course? Or what do you have for trade? I am looking for a standard seat and tail cowl for my own project. Mike

Maybe I should Ebay it then. There wasn't another model OEM exhaust that was black was there? It doesn't look so much like CHROME anymore just black, but it's definitely not painted on its some kind of plating. Anyway thanks a lot for for the info, my learning curve is still on the steep side about XSology. Mike

The Black Chrome exhausts were only on the MNS's and they were only made in '80 and '81. If it truly IS a MNS exhaust, in decent shape, you can expect to get between $300-$800+ for it (depending on the condition, the buyer, and your patience in finding him). They are made of Unobtainium, and finding one that is not covered in corrosion or dents/road rash is almost impossible.

Ebay might be a place to start, or someone here might want it too.
