1980sg frame&engine.. no title

I'm gonna chop this thing up and scrap it pretty soon. Just thought I'd offer it for free if anyone wants it. The frame is straight, the tranny and middle gear box I know is good. Has compression but hard for me to tell right now how good it is. Engine and covers are black... covers are flat black powder coated.

Matt, is this the one you had in the garage when I came to get The Cruise Missle?

yup. It was a project bike I worked with a friend on. He ran out of ambition when we fired it up and oil was spewing out the front of the motor. I found out, after I parted off the rest of the bike, that it was just a leaky gasket for the valve cover. I just want it out of my way at this point. Oh, and the engine is painted black, think I messed that up above.

Aww man! That would have been worth borrowing a truck and making a trip to reno for. Let me know if the others fall through, I may be able to get up there to take that thing off your hands if nobody else gets up there.

I think you were asking about the stock xs11(also in my garage) Not that one! You probably didn't see the frame and motor with boxes n stuff piled on it.

Yep, I got em! Working my way through getting the engine ready to install, getting everything checked out. Also sanding and polishing the edges of the fins for that striped look. I'll post pics of the finished job when it's done. Sure looks to be a nice engine (particularly if it runs as good as it looks).

Blacked out like this it's gonna look good with the new paint scheme I'm doing in the spring. Now if I could just find some cheap side cover badges (I just can't seem to make myself pay almost $50 each from badge replicas, at least not yet).
