          probably

I probably do have the 'countershaft' bolt. Nut sure exactly what bolt that is though. Normally I use the term 'countershaft' to refer to the shaft that the output sprocket on a chain drive bike mounts to. Since this is a shaft drive bike, thats probably not what you are askng about.
If I can figure out what bolt you are refeing to, I can check if its still there.

            Lunatic...

Just wanted to say thanks again for the great deal you made me on the stock XJ exhaust system! Got it all polished up yesterday, and it looks great! All the blueing polished right up, shiny chrome now!

Everything bolted up sweet... no leaks. Nice to also get the little rubber bumper and bracket that the kickstand bumps against, too!
Amazing how ya miss those little details... caused my kickstand to go up against the aftermarket mufflers I had on before... made it hard to get a hold of the sidestand with my boot! So sweet now, and no more 'clank'!

I also masked off the ends of the mufflers and painted them black w/ high heat paint... looks great!

Got that old familiar bottom end growl back.... ohhhh yeah!
Mufflers are now solid again... no shakes.

Good thing I got these from you... when I took the right side off, (thought it was still ok...) it was cracked bad as well! Another few miles and it would have broken off too...

Now, I just need to check the Yamaha site, and see if I can order a nice set of stainless header nuts... unless anyone can suggest a better / cheaper place to get them?

Thanks again, Lee. I really appreciate gettin' the old girl back on the road again! Forgot my camera yesterday... I'll try to post a few pics when I can so you can see how they turned out.

Looking to buy the complete cylinder head for an xj1100..complete with valves, valve cover, cams etc. Basically, pull the cover, snip the camchain, remove head bolts, and send me the entire assembly. ;-). Let me know if you were planning to part the engine to this extent..
                Pack and ship to NY10035.

                Regards,

                Gareth

                        Clutch cover screws

Lunatic, Do you still have the two oval headed screws that hold the clutch engine cover on?
I need them and the two chrome disk that cover the swing arm bearings. Mine are rusting.
Are the turn signal stems in good shape? mine have the dreaded bubbles on them, corrosion.
                        Thanks PM Me.

man, those Oval screws are sure in demand lately. A local Guzzi shop was asking about them also, to use on a Guzzi fender, they also fit DOHC and SOHC HOnda alternator covers. I'll check and see if I have some nice ones out there.
