  • Parting out the bike.

    its a '79 Special

So come to find out, i don't have time for another project. I wanted to go cafe racer style but cant find the time to get any work on in, other then getting the thing to start. So I'm parting it out. not too many things on it i can think are worth anything other then the:
-Carbs (got from a bone yard, i believe they are 78-79)
-Carb Boots (those rubber holder things, I bought brand new. only ran the bike three times with them on.)
    -Throttle Cable (brand new)
-Instrument Cluster (with Tach and Speedo)

if there is anything someone else wants I may have. prices i ahve in mind but will obo it

Shipping to the Continental 48 via USPS

    Carbs - $130 shipped
Carb boots (since they are new) - $65 shipped
    Throttle cable $15?? shipped
    Cluster - $30?? shipped

like i said if there is something else you want/need i may have for sell.

    Parts

I am interested in the cluster if it is the 160mph speedometer. Also what would you want for the seat if it the flat one. I might need a few other parts but can not think what they are right now need to go out in the garage to look.
    Thanks Tom

                  engine?

                  the engine...

i'm looking for a better one... mine seems tired, and i'm not in the mood to
                  rebuild the engine.

what do you have for cylinder compression?

would you consider shipping to WI, (54740)

and what would the price be?

There is a nice engine with very low miles on Ebay right now. FYI

                      7????

you talking about the $700 engine???

when you think about buying an engine, the price is reasonable.

But.. i've run across many whole bikes for 100-$300.

i've made the mistake of spreading myself thin, i don't have the coin to work on my bikes the ebay way. I have too many projects going at once.

                      price is a major factor..(sorry)

the "cheapest" (lowest) price matters to me.
