  • Free or cheap, for local pick-up in SF Bay Area

I'm almost done cleaning-out the corners.
I have a complete Pacifico touring set-up from an '80 Special. All of the brackets and harness is in very good shape. Good trunk. Both of the hard bags and the fairing have structural cracks, but are repairable.

There is another set of hardbags and trunk that was mounted on a '78E.
There is a lot of history that goes with this set. Do a search and see if there are any old posts regarding "Don Gringo".

A couple boxes of misc parts: electrical, brake calipers, crash bars etc..
I am preparing to move, so my time is pretty scarce. I'd rather have one of the locals come here and take the lot, rather than box and ship individual parts, but will do whatever it takes to keep the parts "rolling" and outa the landfill.

    Who's interested?

Great offer, hope someone takes you up on it locally.

I'd be interested in the box of parts if you get to the point where no one wants to pick them up.

Frankly I'd be interested in the fairing and bags too.

Hope you get someone local to drop by.

I wish I had logged on earlier. I'll be in Fremont tomorrow (21st) till noon.
I can arrange to be there if you need to transfer XSive stuff from garage to garage.
My cell is (209) 484-4991 if I can help

        Hi Pat Kelly,

I am NOT in line unless everyone living nearby passes. GO and have a great time.

Updated a little with new info.

There's GOT to be somebody who needs some extra stuff or has room to store it till they do.

Damn, ok, I'll bite. I could use some bits and pieces to repair some crash damage to my '79 Special. Specifically a round headlight ring, right side motor cover, and maybe some crash bars in better shape than the ones I've got now. I guess I can take the lot and spread the wealth around if need be.

Didn't I just get a standard seat from you a couple weeks ago?

Yeah, you did come get a seat a while back. How'd that work-out for you?

Let me know if you want to come look at what's here, You don't abosolutely HAVE to take the lot, but it does make some sense.

I am certain that before long I will be back on eBay looking to buy something that I have here, (Damn that Murphey guy), I just need to get rid of stuff to make my move easier.

I'm still undecided on the final configuration of my XS yet, so haven 't done much more than just set the seat on the bike and give it a look over. I'd like to run it naked awhile with the standard seat since the FJR is fully faired. I'm reserving those final decisions for when the bikes actually rideable. Still waiting on the company rebuilding the front forks.

The parts are gone, Thanks Ray
The only thing left is a bottom end from a Midnight Special. I'll start a new thread for that.
