Wanted 1979 F Standard Seat

XSives - Looking for an oem 1979 Standard F model Seat in decent shape, the one without the tail cowl. Should be rounded & have YAMAHA stamped on the butt end fabric.

Let me know if there's one floating 'round with my name on it, many thanx.

I think the F's still had the cowl. You are probably going to have to look for an 80 or newer if you want it to be all seat in the back.

I have a seat that looks alot like that on my 1980 G. It has been since recovered so the pattern is different, but the shape looks dead on. I always assumed that it was an aftermarket, but I have seen a number of old artcles that show a seat very similar that seemed to come with the factory touring setups. Maybe someone with more knowledge can confirm. Mine looked a lot like yours did when I first got it and I had it recovered by a local upholstery shop and it is better that new now. I believe it was somewhere around $100 to recover.

That is an 80 Standard seat. Could also fit an 81 Venture, but the bucket seat style isn't original I don't think.

That is an aftermarket seat, probably a Saddleman. The seat is as long as the 79 seat and plastic tail combined. The TCI box is right under the rear part of the seat.
