    1980 midnite 1100

    this is my disclaimer every time i post.."i have no owner manual or repair manual for this motorcycle" so now that u all know that try not to think i'm stupid.....but , how the hell do i remove the seat. i suspect 2 screws near the rear, but think this is pain in the ass to just rmv aseat???

      '81 XS11 Special here, so it might be different...

      But on mine there are 2 large bolts about halfway back on the bottom of the seat. I just loosen those and move them forward out of the brackets.

          Look at this tip:

          seat clamp

          I did it on one of my bikes. Makes removing the seat a breeze.
