    That painted cylinder creeps me out a little. Might be full of Chinese goodness. But for 87 bucks....

        Hi Deebs, I'm pretty sure that the black cylinder was stock in the 81 specials. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

                Yeah, it has the 4RO Ignition Controller I just bought for about the same price as this whole bike.

                  If a non-adjustable timing is an upgrade, then I guess so.

                  This ignition has the centrifugal timing advance done by the TCI (4R0), and the timing plate lacks the slots for static adjustment. Totally tamper proof.

                  The vacuum advance still exists which they got rid of in 82 (XJ11)
