OMG! SWMBO would absolutely kill me! Had one and loved it before I moved up to my 80G. Great project for anybody in the neighbourhood.(or anywhere for that matter)

I've noticed that barn finds and project bikes are popping back up at sane prices again, to me that signals COVID is officially over!

That does look like a fun project.

I have nice STD fenders sitting the barn already.......

I have a NOS set of STD pistons and rings...

But I already have a Triple.

And this has stopped you before? Actually looks like a '76 if the single exhaust means anything. The little devil on your left shoulder is trying to tell you something. You're closer than I am......

          Always been 3-2 exhaust. But, I'd never buy a D or 2D. The E/F are the go-to's.

Have to correct you on that - maybe only in Canada and elsewhere - bought a '76 XS750D new with a single exhaust (big blooey pipe on the right side) and rode it EVERYWHERE for 4 years. Also had red rear turn signal lenses. Did the west coast run (Long Beach, Vancouver Island to Tijuana) on it c/w 'Jammer & bags. One of my favorite bikes.

Now that memory is coming back as I get back into my 750/850 projects, maybe I did know that. Heck, I didn't even know we lost our Triple forum until last week. That was a good group of guys.

The death of the Triple forum was devastating to those of use that don't use Facebook.

The only contact I have had with the former forum member is that Tom Roberts has attended the VYR for the past several years.

It's funny because he can look at his fenders on my bike and I can look at my carb on his bike.
