Hi Bob, I live in Hinckley, OH. Zip code is 44233. The only issue I ever had with second gear was user error, me shifting into neutral instead of second. It's been stored inside my house in my utility room since 2015, but I don't think that has caused any issues. I stored it with the carbs off and both carbs and tank drained. When I last started it up, about 1 1/2 months ago, I put fresh 93 octane gas in it. It wasn't running as good as it had when I initially started it up because I had put a little older regular gasoline in it. It backfired, didn't respond to the throttle and wasn't idling good. I cleaned the plugs since they looked too black to me. After doing that and replacing it with the fresh 93 gas, it ran much better and fixed those issues. The battery is a used one that I recently got on Craigslist. I bought it knowing that it would start the bike and maybe last a season or two, so you may have to replace it sooner than later. There's no engine smoking that I'm aware of. The engine serial number matches the title. I just looked at the front of the frame where the serial # is supposed to be on a label (according to a search I ran) but I don't see anything. I don't know if the serial number is stamped on the frame somewhere else or not. I know it's the frame that came with the bike. I don't know if they powder coated over that. I looked to see if maybe they taped over the label and I never peeled the tape off but it doesn't look like that to me. I don't remember checking for a match on the frame at any time I owned the bike.

That is a rocking deal! If I were anywhere close I might challenge Bob to race me there. Though if I bought another bike before finishing the current one, I might be sleeping in the yard...
