If I was any where close I would have to go take a look see and probably make an offer. The bike is definitely worth what they are asking but I do believe they would take less for it.

I already have a (now) nice SF that now has 20k miles on it. It only had 15k miles when I bought it in 2014.

In fact I am putting on new tires and bearings this winter.

Otherwise, I'd be all over this opportunity.

If you want an original grab bar and stock seat, those aren't easy to find. Also, repairing the original clocks is expensive if done right. If the exhaust is as good as it might be, it's worth the price of admission right there. The XS1100SF may be my favorite of any of them.

              Hey Marty:

I'm finally posihing the wheels on my SF after you sugggested it at the 2015 XSSE Rally. It always stuck in my mind after you mentioned it.

              Thanks for the suggestion.

Wow! Great job! I love the paint! Color and type? I would like something similar for my '81 SH if I can't save the original 'blue/ black'.

I wanted something like the original Indigo Blue, but not as dark, so you could see the color.

I had to paint outside under trees.....and I was less experienced at the time, so I chose something easy and forgiving:

I was easy to apply with a $17 Harbor Freight gun.

It is very easy to polish.

I put acrylic laquer clear coat over the paint.

If you put it on heavily, this paint takes years to fully cure- and it is easily damaged by gas spills.

I'm quite happy with the results, but I hope to put a coat 2k clear over it (someday) to protect it from gas.
