    1980 XS1100 Special East Peoria IL Blue/Silver

    Hello All,
This is not mine, found it on Craigslist. Thought someone might be interested.

If I had the money to play with, I'd run up and get it, but I can't stretch it right now. Hopefully, one of you might take a liking to it.

    Regards

Having 81 alt. cover suspect it possibly being an 81 model engine.
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

I didn't catch that, until you made me re-look. Good eye, motoman. It would seem it's more of a parts bike anyway, so the purchaser might wind up with a newer engine, although mileage would be unknown.

The black valve cover adds to it being an 81 engine.

          ...and another thing...

Since we are playing "What's wrong with this picture?", how about the black stripe on the footpeg bracket? Isn't that unique to '81?

Maybe the whole bike is '81?
