Hey guys, I've tried selling my bike a few times over the years, but I think the time has finally came. I don't have the motivation and I need to make room.
The bike was running a year ago just fine. The speedometer went out on it and I had a GPS speedometer replacement made with the original faces to match so that it looks OEM. The will install into the OEM chrome housing as well (I have a set of new housing so it will look slick.) I had them program the original mileage into the speedo which is around 27k. I still have the original speedo and tach. The only thing that is needed is to wire them in. They cost me $600.
I also have another engine for the bike. As I recall it has around 20k miles on it with good compression on all cylinders. The idea was to do a 2nd gear fix, powder coat it black, and install it. As you can see I never got around to it. It cost me around $400.
The bike runs just fine (although the carbs may be dirty from sitting a year, I did run stabilizer through it). The 2nd gear just jump if you get on it, so that will have to be addressed at some point. But really, all it needs is the gauges installed and the 2nd gear fix. Most everything else on the bike I have gone through at some point.
I'm not looking to make a killing on it. I'm more concerned it goes to someone who will take care of it and use it. I could probably make a lot more money parting it out, but I would rather see someone use it. If no one is interested I will probably be forced to part it out.
Send me you offer.
