      The reply:

Hey there, Stan. I believe it might be gone after today as I have a few people insterested, (save you a long drive). That picture I posted was from last year using my previous phone which for some reason started snapping reverse image pictures. The reason I got a new phone too. Besides that, the pic is "what you see - what you get". No BS. For safety reasons the tires probably need replaced, (good tread but has side wall cracks developing). Battery was showing signs of failure last summer when I started it up a few times so it needs a new one and valve cover gasket needs replaced as it leaks a little oil when running.

      Thanks for your interest though.....

      Steve

Was getting cramps looking at the picture. Still trying to wrap my brain around what I see.

        I bought this bike!!

Hey, my name is Kevin, I'm new to the forum. I just bought the bike you are talking about here. It's an orange 1979 xs1100 special. It has mikuni vm33 carbs and a 4 into 1 exhaust. The guy Steve I bought it from said he was the owner since 1984 or something. Bike is in great shape, o rose it home. I'm in the process of cleaning it up and doing some minor updates/repairs. I have new handlebars for it, I've cleaned the carburators, installed new grips/ dual pull throttle tube. Some new cables etc. Minor stuff really. I love it!

            Thank you Mike!

I'll post more pictures of my progress. The pictures in the link show it when I brought it home with the old handlebars, the later pictures are a mock up with a bar from a kz750 twin project I have. I just received a bunch of parts this week and i have more on the way, I plan on doing some more work this weekend.
