  • Possible Bob Jones XS11

I run an independent shop in Kansas City. While our core business is sportbikes and road racing, we get a pretty steady flow of vintage bikes. We have a 1979 XS1100 that came in about 10 years ago for service. As I remember, the owner told us that he got it from Bob Jones at Merriam Cycles and looking at the bike I can believe it. It has a Joco Motors badge on the tank. Joco was Bob's Yamaha dealership before he opened Merriam Cycles. The bike has certainly had some time and money invested in it. It has Koni shocks, a fork brace, oil cooler, 4 into 1 exhaust and 4 VDO gauges and a radio in the fairing. The owner never came back and didn't answer our calls. In switching to a new software platform in 2009 some of the older repair orders were lost including this one. I need to clean out the warehouse and would like to find a home for this bike. I plan on keeping the Konis and they will fit one of my vintage Ducatis. I have stock shocks to go on it. The carbs were donated to a customer about five years ago. I can provide a notarized bill of sale but no title. Go to https://drive.google.com/folderview?...Ek&usp=sharing
to see photos. Please let me know if you have any questions. What do you think as far as price, maybe $1000??

Looks nice, but the price is a bit high for not having a title and no carbs.

I found the carbs, looks like we robbed emulsion tubes from them. Anybody want any of the parts before we dismantle? Or make an offer on the bike, we've got to clear space in the warehouse!

I am interested in the seat if you do end up parting it out.

How negotiable is the price? I doubt it is one of Bob Jones customs. He may have worked on it or serviced it. It is a non running, non titled XS with non stock seat, exhaust and paint and itis 12 hr drive from home. I does seem recoverable so would hate to see it torn down. If you are negotiable on price I am interested.

                        fairing???

Bringing another one home. Does anyone recognize that fairing? Neither a vetter nor a pacifico. Thinking I will leave cosmetics alone and just do mechanics. I has an unique look.will post updates and progress on it.

If that's not a Pacifico fairing, it sure missed a good chance.

Here's another from the southeast rally.
