    Wow, That is soooooo cool!.
I wonder what that fender and seat is off of?
Am I missing something or are there no turn signals on that bike?

      1100e

Lots of changes from stock and not running makes the asking price a bit high. He may get lucky, but.....................

Someone did spend some $ on it back in the day.

Look closely at the colors. The tank exactly matches the fender and seat.

This was either a very expensive customization or it came this way from t he dealer.

Yeah, i see no turn signals. Maybe there was a fairing with the signals?

The floor boards and engine guard look very well done.

The seat has been re-covered. The front fender was available from Yamaha accessory catalog. The color was the OTHER color scheme for 1978. Hope that answers your question.

Neither........twas the other color scheme offered in 1978. If it DID have a fairing, it was color matched from Vetter and would have been a dealer option, NOT a factory option. Hope that answered your questions.

              I do have two questions.

Were the floorboards a dealer option?

Is there a pdf of the 1978 catalog? I cannot find the color in any of the Google images for a 1978 XS1100.

Floorboards WERE a catalog option...........35yrs. ago.......NA today. Don't trust Google ALL the time either. That color WAS the other optional color for 1978.

                  unusual

                  speaking of unusual:

maybe I should have started a new thread but there's probably not much interest in this:

I found these in my stash of extras the other day:

I did a search on here for rear guards with passenger foot rests and couldn't find anything.

                  These ones are brand new!.

                  Motoman,
Have you seen these before? Maybe also from that catalog?.
