    That is nice

    $1700 does sound high for a non runner but he does say OBO...oh and the carbs need a thorough cleaning...its not just the hoses...

      Yeah I suppose that's true. The bike looks to be in great shape tho. I was thinking the same sonds more like a stuck float than a hose lol I was thinking about tearing everything off my special to get it all powdered black, this would save me a ton of work. Wonder what I could talk him down to

        If you're seriously considering this...then start your offer at $1000...That is low but its your starting point...you might get it for $1200-$1400...IMHO...do not tell him how you plan to fix it just that it needs the carbs gone through just because it hasnt run...he sounds ignorant about bikes in general...and has no clue that it prolly has bad gas in there gummed up the works...so that and checking out other things like the tires...the longer a bike sits the more things its gonna need...he did say brakes and some electrical problems as well...so there still could be other issues unfound..so after saying that the closer to 1200 the better...

          ^^^^ this.......tell him you'll just take a chance...Tell him you'll haul it off for him........its a good time of year to deal......no one wants to store a bike that doesnt run....well....except me...
