  • 1979 XS11 Special for sale

It is with deep regret that I am selling my 79 specials. One complete and one for parts. I just posted them on kijiji in Barrie, ON. I have listed everything for $2500 but for anyone on this site I would ask $2000.

I have posted some of the pics at https://www.flickr.com/photos/sckingsphotos/

If anyone is interested and you need more info or more pics, please let me know.

My situation has changed and I would like to offer any member the whole package for $1000. I would really like to see it go to someone that has experience with these bikes and appreciates them. I have ridden them since 81 and unfortunately have reached a point in my life where it is time to say goodbye.

I will add more pictures later today.

Ernie, I could really use a seat for the 79 special i'm rebuilding. The seat on your project bike looks good, would you want to sell it?

I just so happen to be driving past Belleville tomorrow to see Mack. I'll be fixing my bike with him for a couple days and drive back to Ottawa on Tuesday evening.

        Pm me if your interested.

I need to have the bikes gone by the end of the month. I will give the parts bike away to any member on the site that can pick it up.

I will take any reasonable offers on my runner. I may remove the fairing and bags as I have started listing everything seperately.

If nobody wants the parts bike, I still need a seat
If you can do this I'll pay for shipping. My bike is at Mack's place for repairs. Frankford, Ontario. K0K 2C0

A lack of replies to this ad are not necessarily from lack of interest, it's that you're in another COUNTRY. It's kinda the same as an ad for a nice bike in California, and I'm in Maine.

I understand the distance issue and the timing could be better (spring time) Plus most of us already have multiple vehicles and adding another might aggravate relations with our significant others

                          Parts now gone.

I will be removing the fairing and bags to put bike back to original. Will still include fairing and bags with bike but I will also list them for sale seperately.

                            Thanks Ernie,
Parts are now gathering dust in my garage
Just could not let them wander off to parts unknown. I'm sure i will find something useful in the collection in the future.

Who bought the parts bike? Are they selling the seat?
