I'm about to post this on craigslist, but I thought I'd give the community here first crack at it, in case anyone is in the Seattle area and wants a great running full dress XS11.
The bad:
- Could use some cosmetic attention. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not perfect.
- exhaust has a leak or two. This thing is pretty loud. Kind of cool if you're into that kind of thing.
- The right blinker isn't working. I suspect the handlebar switch has corrosion, but have yet to investigate.
- Horn is not hooked up.
The good:
- Full touring set, including fairing, saddlebags, and top bag, all in the original "macho maroon" factory paint.
- Comfy seat.
- Runs beautifully. Carbs were rebuilt a few years ago when I rescued it from a barn, and yearly sync on the carbs after that. I had a hard time deciding to let it go because it's the snappiest XS11 I've ever ridden, the throttle response is fantastic.
