Uh? That's OK, Ben. I'll fix it for you.

    1979 Yamaha XS1100 - $2900 (Wendell)

Forsale is my '79 XS1100...This bike was resurrected from a Lousiana Bayou back in 2003 and underwent a total frame off restoration..every nut and bolt was refurbished or replaced. Hence her name is SwampThing... It is inspection exempt in NC. Title is clear in my name.It has an external oil cooler and plumbing.a Telefix fork brace,Yamaha OEM Saddle bags,Yamaha Touring saddle reworked by Saddleman,Hwy Pegs,Throttle lock cruise control, new Progressive fork springs w/15w oil. Comes with a genuine Yamaha service manual and Yamaha toolkit...Mechanically this bike is in Excellent condition. Cosmetically its an 8 out of 10...Paint on tank is crackled and could use a respray...some paint chips on the hard bags as well...tires are good about 3000 miles on them. The rear tire is more worn than the front and will need to be replaced in about 1500 miles. Tires are Shinko 712s front and rear. It also comes with an automatic cam chain adjuster and a XS750 final drive. It also has a Plexistar windscreen that does an excellent job of keeping the headwinds at bay.The bike runs great and its hard to believe its 36 years old. Its a great ride and is ready to go wherever you point it.
If you see this ad then its still forsale...Price is OBO but I will only negotiate with someone in person..pls dont waste my time asking me online...I will only accept cash in person. This ride is 100% turnkey and ready to go..reluctantly must sell due to health issues...
do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers

      Ben,

Are you done riding or just going to another steed? Good luck with the sale. She's a good looking 11.

Thanks Mike...Ad says health issues but thats just the excuse i gave...not really although I am having issues with my throttle hand...i still expect to ride...not ready to throw in the towel. I want a more modern sport tourer like the STs I had but this time I'm looking at BMWs like the boxer R1100RTs from 1998 to the early 2000s...beautiful rides...creature comforts galore...i need to be coddled in my old age...

The only comments we have are warm one's, knowing Swamp Thing remains in a happy home.

Nope ... no sarcasm here ...

I think I know exactly how you feel ... I've done the same thing with a few of my previous bikes.

When you're truly ready to let her go, you won't have any regrets about listing/selling Swamp Thing.

Ben, A grand decision. I'm glad you slapped yourself and recognized your (almost) mistake.

Send your forks to Traxxion Dynamics and your bike will be transformed - suspension and steering. They have much improved rear shocks as well. Money well spent. Only problem you may encounter is an overwhelming temptation to blast past the ride leaders at XSSoutheast.
