      Yep! That's Bohn's.

Boys and girls, you won't find a nicer, more well cared for XS anywhere.

This is a Special with the big tank, and lots of cool extra goodies.

Somebody here should jump on this piece of prime history before it's too late.

I have ridden many, many miles alongside this beauty. (The bike...easy boys...)

It is definitely CLEAN, and has been garage kept.

Here's a shot of it in 2006 at Two Wheels Only. It has always been that nice.

I really hope it goes to a good home, to someone who will really appreciate it.

Bohn asked me tonight if I knew he'd put it up for sale, and read his write up. He asked me what I thought about it...

I told him it made me wanna buy it!! Lol

Then he started in on me to bid on it!

If only I had a garage... this would be a great one to own.
This bike's got it all. Big bore, carb kits, new valve job, FD, Venture tank, Russell seat, beautiful exhaust...

One other thing his ad doesn't mention... It gets great gas mileage. The highest I've ever seen an XS get... between 42-45 mpg every trip we took together.
With a 6.6 gl tank... Great range. Between 250- 300 per tank.

Be nice if someone here can get it.

I think he'd get a good price if he returned it to a bone stock Special. He'd get good money for each of the accessories as well. That tank would bring a few dollars, so would the luggage and fairing. As it sits, it won't sell, IMHO.

We need only wait until tomorrow to see if I'm right.

                        Geez

If I had the cash I'd snap it up in a heartbeat, especially considering what I paid for my Special. That is a superb example of what the XS1100 should have been.

If it doesn't sell I may get his if he'll hang on to it for a a few more months. I just moved into a new job that pays a lot better than my old one and my child support payments end in May which is an instaraise.

What he's already done there is what I'm in the process of doing to my Special although all the bits he has are much nicer, especially the motor and drivetrain work. Not to mention I'm just now starting to do the teardown and refurb of all the wrong things on my bike. Getting a bike in that nice of condition with all that work already done means I get to ride instead of just wishing I could.

I really hope it doesn't sell...sorry, but I want that bike and I'm already plotting what's getting sold so I don't have to wait.

All of my bikes are projects, maybe one day I'll have them running.

No doubt it's a fine motorcycle. Having seen it a few times over the years, it's obvious that it has been meticulously maintained. For someone who wants it, you may get a chance yet.

What I'm saying is, that selling to the general population, a bone stock Special in that condition would have bid to $3K already. One of you folks need to strike a deal with him before he takes my advice.

                            Bohn's Bike

I think (hope) that there are a lot of people looking at the bike that want it but are not going to bid until the last second. Typical eBay bidding race near auction's end. 11 hours left. We shall see.
