    I'm not sure what that is. Maybe a G? The sidecover is not a match for the aftermarket seat.

      Clutch cover says '80 or later, footrests say '79 or earlier, headlight - front turns - rear turns say '79 or earlier special and yes I agree the sidecovers are '80G.

      Also the tail light is the smaller SF one and the emblems are '80 on.

          Seat looks like mine which I have been told was a "Touring" seat offered by Yamaha in 79/80.

              Hi Marty,
              Bottom edge of seat appears straight so it is really close att he front of side cover and leaves gap at the back. Also prevents the covers from being removed without first removing the seat which is a PITA at times. Prevents losing side covers which is a plus
              It is either very comfortable or I am incredibly tough for 1000 mile days

                  well i guess i had too much pain medication when I posted this ... I thought it was pretty complete...which it is...just not all original...but i had one heckuva buzz....
