Have a look at this one ...

Has '79 speedo, owner claims he matched the mileage (18,600) to the original (making it accurate).

He admits it has been wrecked (in 1989 -no details), but says Yamaha did all the repairs (and that he has receipts to prove it) ...

What say you?

It sure looks nice. The foot rest bracket on the right side is from an '81 model. Too bad they didn't replace the cylinder head back in '89. Otherwise, it could go in a museum.

If you can work it out, it would be great to see this Special go to the home of a fellow XSive ... someone who will take great care of it!
