I am putting this out there before the official posting. The bike is being serviced this week in preparation for the sale. I will be putting it on my local Craigslist (Watertown NY) and eBay. Though my intent is to get it sold, (too many bikes, not enough riding time), I would rather it go to someone that would appreciate it rather than just give it up to someone who just sees "fast". Specs: Red, "79", 18,000+ miles, has been running great. There has been no 2nd gear slipping. Paint is fair to good, some minor scratching on the tank. Could possibly be buffed out. There are scrapes on the pipes, (PO laid it over) and the bottom of the stator cover was shaved down. Cover was repaired with JBL. Looks OK, but I had purchased another to replace it that is in good shape with no cracks or abrasions. Should clean up well. Leather on seat is in good condition, has sissy bar/luggage rack with small sissy bar zippered pouch. Zipper is missing a couple of teeth but is movable. Tires and brakes are in good shape, bike will have its inspection while in for service. Carbs. were rebuilt and synched about 300 miles ago, floats and jets replaced as needed. Battery is only 2 years old. The mechanic that is doing the services has been working on these bikes for years and is quite familiar with them. His work is quality. I have the original owners manual, Haynes manual, a partially filled tool bag, side covers both intact. Bonus, I do have a complete braided front and rear brake line kit, has red sheath to match the paint. Never had the time to install it. It cost me $350 new a year ago. My plan is to put the bike out there for $1500 as is, or $1700 with the kit. If the buyer doesn't want the kit, I will put it out there for sale as a seperate item. I know this is a lot to digest without pictures, I will have those available as soon as it gets back from service. Thanks for your interest.
