  • 1980 XS 1100 for sale

I am the original owner of a gray XS 1100 with 11,282 miles. Doctor says I should stop now. I ran it last year and I could always start it each spring and run it for a bit in the summer.
Got new tires about 4 years ago and had pipes replaced and other work done to keep it going.
Unfortunately, it was kept outside under a tarp and has rust. I want to sell it and wonder how to go about it.
I thought of you folks first, possibly to fix it up or for parts. There is E bay, Craigslist, local papers, etc.
I live in Northeastern PA and could work with anyone to get it delivered or picked up.
I don't even know what to ask and thought someone could give me an idea.
I will send photos to any interested person, but don't know how to attach to this message.
    Thanx, Scott

    Scott,

Host the pictures on photobucket or anyplace like that and you can post them here.

You have come to the right place. We need some good pictures to assess your bike. Once this group has picked it over and voiced opinions, you'll be well aware of what you can expect to get for it. You may be able to sell it right here. If not, at least you know what you have.

I would offer to host the photos for you, but I'm going off-line for a couple of days. Instructions can be found on the forum. Search "posting photos".

Hi, I have tried a couple of times to get the photos onto photobucket and then onto the XS1100 website, but failed.
If you have an e mail address, I can attach them to an e mail easily.
I live in Kingston, PA, so if I get it running, I could drive it over.
Or you are welcome to come over and see it in person after next week.
I will give you my address if you want.
I will try again to get them 'uploaded' but can't seem to get the hang of it.
          Thanx for writing,
          Scott
