  • 1982 Maxim in Indiana (Ebay)

Here's one for the XJ fans out there ...

Looks like it may have been down - Kerker 4-into-1, pods, recovered seat, oil leak ...

Somewhat of a project? There is a link in the listing to a walk-around video with the bike running ... Check it out ...

2 days and change left in the auction ... current bid is $850.00

    What do you think?

Looks a little too rough for me. Would be hard pressed to pay the current bid amount ($850).

Have to disagree Mike...this one isnt that rough at all... not perfect ...its pretty decent...it has been down but still looks like a good deal if it goes for under $1000

Looks to be in decent condition and has new tires. Biggest issue other than cosmetic ones seems to be a fairly healthy oil leak from either the timing chain tensioner or the valve cover. I also am wondering a bit about the bikes state of tune after watching the video, seemed as if the choke was on for most of the video?

The video is less than 1 minute long so the choke (if you could really see it...I couldnt)

being on that long is not unusual...my XJ was a very cold blooded beast...it took a good 5 mins of choke before it would settle in but the bike wasnt truly warmed up until it had been ridden for a good 10 mins...

Somebody stole that bike $890.00. My rough is boxes of parts wrong wiring. LOL

This one looked unmolested thus a cherry.

Yes, somebody got a good deal on that one.

The problems they mentioned were all in the "no biggee" catagory.

Leak was probably timing chain tensioner or valve cover.

They never specified which red flashing light...
Could have simply been from where somebody changed out the battery and didn't know to do the diode trick to get it to stop flashing battery...

That bike looked pretty good to me....
Wonder if it was somebody here that bought it?
