  • 79 XS1100 Special in lower Alabama

I've been trying to sale this bike locally for step dad for quite some time. It has sat for a number of years. The bike is complete and it will kick over. The sale will include title, clymer manual, owners manual, and extra parts that look nearl new. He wants $700 firm. In a couple of weeks we will start parting out. Thanks. I can't seem to figure out how to add pictures.

Too late, I'm already there. Trying to save as many as I can, but realize it is not a one man job. I think it is more of a disease rather than a hobby. But it is a good disease!

They are out there. Most of the time they are seemingly too far away. I have gone after them and had them shipped. You just have to weigh which is best. Either way, it is still part of the cost of buying a bike.

I get quotes from 3 shippers each time. There are some very good shipping deals that come along on occasion. Most often I use uShip.

Good thing is that these XS11s are becoming more valuable. Best purchase value is one that is closest to stock. Unfortunately, one taken apart to sell for parts is worth more than the whole. There is good and bad to that scenario.

As is usual, my garage stays a mess. But it is a good mess.

I miss having a garage...here in NC most homes dont have them and when we found this place there was only a 10x10 shed...we had built on site a nice 12x15 shed to house my bikes and many other household things we used to keep in a basement or attic or garage....
