wow thats quite a collection...$400 for a non runner XJ is a good deal...why the exhaust system itself could be sold for at least double what you pay for the bike...given it is intact...cant tell from these pics...but I'd bet theres rust on 'em...
Good to see some more vintage bikes making it back out into the world from people's collections.

That's what I am worried about Steve. The other problem I has is my funds have dried up, I don't even have the $400 min any more .

Don't get too excited... the seller states it's a $400 minimum, he may just be another hoarder who thinks he has a goldmine...
I really do hate that. It pains me to see people who have a backyard full of rusty old bikes they've "collected" and leave outside to rust through and have them destroyed by the elements then ask silly amounts of money because they wanted to make a buck from their purchase 10 years ago at a garage sale. I could see if there was an intention at some point to restore them or make custom bikes out of them but when you have 50 bikes and you keep buying more, there was never an intention of fixing them just more hoarding. UGH, I'm getting frustrated just thinking about it. I'd kill to have just 2-3 of those and spend the time to make them nice again and not let them rot in some crappy backyard. These are historical things, small reminders of such a vibrant and exciting time to be alive and people will spend a lifetime watching them withering away and do nothing about it. Preserve the past! Because pretty soon it will be all gone and no one left to tell its story.
They say a motorcycle dies twice, once when it becomes too far gone to be repaired and once more when the last person that saw it run speaks about it for the last time.
