I would be hard pressed to spend $4k on an XS11 just because the people who appreciate them are so few and far between (for resale). I'd be more comfortable buying this at the $2750 to $3000 range because at any more than that you can buy a newer, used yammy.

YMMV just depends on what you want...its taken 30+ yrs for the value of these bikes to reach the level of their original pricing. I for one am glad to see their value increase. I recall paying close to $3600 for my 1982 XJ1100 brand new....back in the day...

I suspect that the "asking price" is adjustable. Like Ben said, they are only going to become more valuable in time.
