    This one is nice. It is also nice and far away from me (35 hours). Someone left of the Mississippi should scoop this one up. I see newer brake rotors front and rear (unless it is really an 1981SH) and an aftermarket seat cover. Pretty sure the dog does not come with it.

    It is mistakenly advertised as an MNS.

    Engine cases, peg mounts, AND slotted rotors makes for an 80Special.
    81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

      I did not know that. I thought that the slotted rotors came out in 1981. Wonder why they did not put them on the Standard in 1980? In hindsight, they should have been installed from 1978 through 1981.

        Cept for the upper end of the performance world, IMO doubt that style of slotting had much effect either way.

            I do remember way back on a 1978E (with no slots to be found) on one rainy day the brakes got wet and the best the bike would do is slow down. I pushed the brakes as hard as I could but it did not matter. Most of the brake capacity had diminished due to the rain. I am thinking that anything other than a solid rotor would help this problem.
