80 MNS in Rock Spring WY

A little pricy for me. Looks as if it is missing some things.

I can see it is missing the side cover and air box emblems. Might be the wrong tank badges as well.

      Mns

I am seeing a pricing trend on the MNS lately. Owners are asking more for them even though they are not exactly correct. The MNS might just be rare enough to command the higher asking amounts.

Actually, during that era, IIRC there were less Venturers produced and sold(touring crowd) than MNS. Honda's Wing was king of touring during that time period more so than now.

NADA values on the XS1100 went up that much this year.

It looks pretty nice. The tank badge on the Midnight is supposed to be silver, is it not?

Yes it is Marty, I thought it looked gold to me. I kind of see the 1100 there, but it is not as bold as it typically is. And yes, the side cover badges are missing. Kind of nitpicky details, over all a really nice bike. But then for that kind of money, you expect mint condition.

If it's an LG, shouldn't the seat be the same as the SG? This might be the only LG in the State of Wyoming.

A lot can happen to a bike in 34 years Marty. The seat on my SG is from an LG. I think the seats may have been a bit different also.

That's the only pic I can find without the pad on it.

Yours is an aftermarket seat, Greg. A lot of them were put on at the dealer as it was uncrated.

You're right though. Every picture I can find shows a seat like the one pictured, or with some sort of king/queen on it.

Marty if my memory serves me right the LH seat was lower in the front section than the LG seat which was the same as the SG.
