He mentions the air filters twice, and the exhaust, but also says "everything is still all stock parts" - Right ...

With the exception of: headlight, turn signals, side covers (mentioned), the stuff above, and who knows what else?

And what's with the blue on the upper forks/fork ears? Also a "rebuilt" title ...

Yes, there are all kinds of 78Es out there including this one that no one has seen before. The price is definitely out of line. Another example of "Buyer Beware".

On the other hand, I suppose it could be transformed BACK into a valid E.

I guess that cut exhaust to make it sound louder must be where the value is in this custom I would be surprised to see him get a $1000 for it. Of course if you are really into diamond plate side covers who knows.
