Here is one that needs quite a bit. Can be brought back with some TLC. Might could get for a decent price.

I saw it but clicked away when I read no title

The amount of rust on it was what made me wonder about whether it had been sitting in a flood plain, then I read the description and saw the total deal killer "lost title notarized bill of sale"

Lost the title, can't find the key, almost everything covered in rust ... I think this one has more than one RED FLAG ...

looks more grimy and filthy than rusty...headers are rusty and rear shock springs as well but the rest of it has what looks like sawdust or mud or both covering it...this bike would live again if someone in GA bought it. Thats the only state I know that doesnt require a title to have a bike or cage registered and licensed...cant imagine the amt of time and $ it would take tho...

You are both right ... poor choice of words on my part - but the pics do make me wonder what else is lurking underneath when you start taking it apart.

                  1978E (Ad says Special)

I called on that bike back in the early summer when I spotted his ad on Craigslist in New Jersey. I talked to the guy and his story sounded a bit strange, he said that he owned the bike for years but never drove it legally on the road because he never got a motorcycle license. Once I found out that he didn't have a title as well as a key made me think that the bike might be stolen. I ask him why he thought the bike was worth that kind of money and he said they were very sought after and the bike is complete. I told him noboby would give him more than a few hundred bucks for a non running bike that has been sitting for several years and the fact that you can't even look inside the gas tank to see how bad of shape it could be in was enough. He mentioned that all he thought you had to do is put fresh gas in it and turn the turn, if he had one to start it. Top that off with no title and here in New York State unless the bike is 1974 or older it would be impossible to get one. Good luck to whomever is bidding on it.
