so, is it a standard with special forks? I think that's a good price for a good looking bike. If the chain breaks, does it do valve train damage on our engines?

With round gages and all, it looks like a Special front end was installed. Which makes you want to look careful for frame damage if it was wrecked enough to replace the front end. Not saying it was, just a likely reason to make the swap.
IF it is not running due to the timing chain being out of adjustment, then it probably needs a new valve or eight. These bikes will run with things amazingly out of whack, not well, but they will run.
But then, it includes a replacement engine. Which seems to include a set of carbs, that have an OCTY on them, making them from a special. Probably the engine from the donor bike the front end came off of. I'd bring a battery, or jumper cables, and see what the compression is on the spare engine before making the purchase though.
Overall not a bad deal, the rest of the bike looks to be in good condition. Aftermarket exhaust, but good condition.
