81 venturer project testing the waters.

Testing the waters to possibly sell my 81. Pretty much everything done to it is on the site. Not a lot really trans fix. pulled fairing off put on a standard llight and signals. One of the hard bags has a busted up lid. It was running and riding when I pulled the carbs to loan them to a friend. If someone is interested then I could get the carbs back on. It has a few little things left to do but they all do. lol. What do you think it should sell for?

Ever since I bought greengoon3 bike Ive been riding it. Its a better bike as a rider and I just havent got back to the 81.

Man, you are really tempting me Chuck!
If I even considered picking up a 3rd bike, swmbo would demand that i get rid of one, so that would mean the green monster would have to go.
Ever since I've been on this site, I've wanted an 81H.
Maybe if i win in Atlantic city this weekend then i'll get it from you.

I figured you would see this. lol. I want to give you locals first shot since you guys helped me so much to get it going. I've just got too much stuff over here. I had it out back but felt bad leaving it in the weather so i redid the garage now it has its own spot.

That is an awfully tempting price and project. However, a 9-1/2 hour drive each way makes it less tempting.

Hugo was/is his name. Google is great.
Hugo The Abominable Snowman is a giant snowman who appeared in "The Abominable Snow Rabbit" and "Spaced Out Bunny". Hugo's mannerisms are based on that of Lennie Small from the John Steinbeck novel Of Mice and Men. Hugo is a large, snow-white creature that is said to be an abominable snowman. He physically resembles a white-furred version of Bigfoot with large paws, a messy hairdo covering his eyes (much like Sam Sheepdog) and a turquoise nose. Despite his size, he is actually quite nice but som

So, there it is, Hugo is his name and he will pet me and hug me and call me George.

Thanks Ben. I've made some progress on putting him back together this weekend.
Swapped the bars around, cleaned up some electrical, cleaned up my G carbs and put them on, new battery, etc. and put some gas in the carbs and he fired right up.
                    Evaporust is great stuff.
Still finding little stuff missing, like the 3 nuts for the rear master cylinder cap.
Chuck gave me everything that he could find. Hard for him to keep track of all those little parts with so many of his projects around the garage. HeHe.

He repainted the tank, but the rest of it is still the indigo blue, so I guess I'm going to have to find me some of that toyota blue-black (code 210), but painting can wait.

I just read this an went on the hunt for those three nuts. Found them. I got them here for you when ever you want them. Oh and yeah sorry about that ugly tank. Youngster knocked it over and put one of the little dents in it. I mentioned that I would have to fill and sand it. Oldest kiddo decided to take it upon her self to help with the sanding.

Insted of looking at that abomination it became flat black.

Chuck, thanks for finding those. I ended up 'borrowing' them from the G for now.

Don't worry about the tank. It works fine right now, I just want it all the same color eventually. The broken bag lid will get replaced with one of the ones I got from Dwayne.
I got those shorty bars off him, so I can swing by and drop those off to you.
I should have him on the road this weekend.
