Hey guys, I just completed my cross country journey on my xs. Made it from Vermont to California I. 3.5 weeks, and I couldn't have done it without this forum.I had to repair the pickup wires and after taking the cover off and looking at the design, I'm not surprised. Anyways, I have no desire to drive back across the country, especially this time of year. So about the bike:
It's not pretty. It has rust and small holes in the exhaust which I have "fixed" with some hose clamps and aluminum cans. It has a small rust spot/ tiny dent on the tank plus some scratches from my jacket zipper. It is an ugly brownish maroon type color with the right side yamaha tank emblem broken. It has a windjammer iv on it which I repaired some cracks on the locking side. Windshield is cracked from center mounting point to top right mounting point. It runs strong, which is probably how I managed to round the dogs for second gear. Not terrible yet, but it's getting there. Tires are good (got new rear in South Dakota)

Here is the big thing: it doesn't have a title because Vermont doesn't issue titles for vehicles over 25 years old. I have the registration and will do anything I can to help you get a title if your state issues them. Anyways I just want to get home so unless you have a private jet to give me a ride in, $550. (Price of a short notice one way ticket back to Vermont) I will do pics for a CL ad tomorrow so you gotta wait until then.
PS: Am I asking too much? Am I asking too little? I know I could get more in Vermont, but like I said, no titles there. Makes things a real PITA.
