1980 Midnight Special "Black Ice" for sale

As much as I hate to do it, it really is time to thin down the fleet a bit more. The first to go earlier this summer was the little 1974 DT360. Now it is time for Black Ice to find a new home.

I've posted a short blurb and a few photos on the local Castanet.net classified site.

If you haven't seen it before, here's a shot of Black Ice just after its first restoration (before the seat was reupholstered and before I fixed the colour on that mounting ring on the left front blinker)



Current listed asking price is CAD$2900 at Castanet, but willing to negotiate with a motivated purchaser.

Black Ice gone to a new home

Bittersweet day yesterday as Black Ice went off to a new owner here in Revelstoke. The years of sitting unused in the carport were not friendly to it, and had to be reflected in the eventual selling price. I'm just glad it is good hands, with a keen new owner who is not quite as old as the bike!

I don't know how I missed this one.
That's absolutely one of my favorite XS pictures.
Sorry that you had to let it go but I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as you did.
